Stitch Tactics...

... is a professional improv troupe based in Kansas City and Lawrence. Since 2004, they have performed their fast-paced shows around Kansas, including venues such as the KU Campus, the Westport Coffee House, Horizon Academy, and many more!

Stitch Tactics does private shows, public shows, and private-public shows. They never do public-private shows... the last attempt ended in tears.

...Stitch Tactics not only performs all over the Midwest, but also holds weekly rehearsals to help practice the elements of short-form improv.

Our Forefathers (and Foremother)

Jordy Altman, Alex Haynes, and Lara Thomas sought out to create an improv troupe that was open to anybody who was willing to make an ass out of his or herself.

In 2004, they succeeded at KU. Within six months, membership had tripled. Within the year, twenty-five members were active and meetings had to be scheduled twice a week.

Shows to please the masses

Stitch Tactics prides itself on good comedy. They are pleased to be able to perform for any type of audience, be it eighty 10-year-old or ten 80-year-olds. The performances range from PG to PG-13 or even R-rated, and we always take our audience into consideration.

Two chapters. One family.

Stitch Tactics has grown so large over the past year, the family had to extend itself to two separate locations- Lawrence and Kansas City.
